candleman 0
Hello all, Just a quick question, I'm looking for a VR6 at the mo, The last one I looked at was a K plate with 93k on the clock. On start up (it had been sat for a week) it was smoking light grey, until it warmed up. He then gave it a few revs and I notice some black smoke. Not buckets mind you, but enough so I could smell it. So to the Q, how much smoking is acceptable on a 80k to 90k mile car?RegardsDave
cgraham 0
Well i've just bought a VR on an L plate, with 90k on clock. It has no smoking what so ever, i'm guessing at that amount of milage you shouldn't really have any smoking.
FishWick 21
Black smoke is a sign of over-fuelling, the lambda probe might be dead.
