illiance 0
My boot catch has been playing up, it appears that a spring on the left of it is not pushing the fastening piece over and so the boot will not close. Has anyone had this problem and is it hard to fix, I would go and buy one from a scrap yard but was worried about refitting the central locking. My next problem is that on my drivers seat the wire that lets the seat come forward has snapped on one side, this meaning that I have to reach down and pull the catch up to let people in the back. I can't see an easy way of replacing the wire as obviously it runs under the leather somewhere, any help would be great, thanks
antera309 3
The latch assembly is easy to swap out, so go ahead and get one from a scrappy. Don't worry about the central locking this is just done by a solenoid with a pin that goes through a hole in the lock mecanism, which you aren't touching - you are only replacing the latch.
