The1andonlygav 0
i know, i fitted the kit before fitting the wheels. I didn't want to much of a drop because i was worries about clearance. But i've got LOADS of room left, at least another 20mm. Once i've got the charger sorted that'll be my next mission. Buzzark 0
i think theyre illegal' date=' need to get those arches pulled, lol[/quote']Definately illegal. Don't get stopped driving like that, they'll impound the car as it is a danger to the public.Won't pass an MOT either.I assume you've just fitted them to show and are going to sort the arches to suit?Regulation wise, the top of the arch must stick out enough to cover the furthest protruding part of the wheel (to take camber into account). It has to over hang by a small amount and must cover it for a certain radius - e.g. minimum 30 degrees or something, can't remember. They do look awesome though. !lol
Deako 0
Actually, im pretty sure the edge of the outermost part of the wheel arch only needs to cover the tyre tread.

Buzzark 0
Actually' date=' im pretty sure the edge of the outermost part of the wheel arch only needs to cover the tyre tread.[/quote']Actually I guess it's been a long time since I had to read the regulations. '92-'95 I think it was when I had my big wheels on my mini cooper S. I remember having to go with a slightly stretched group 5 arch. Best to check in case things have changed since my last experience in this area.
