have anybody driven.......

Recommended Posts

I am lucky to have both but i am selling the 4motion and keeping the vr6. The 4motion has so much better low down torque but seems to run out of puff at the top end. I think the vr6 is the faster car only if you keep it over 4k revs. Around town the 4motion is a fast car, but i put that down to the torque. Thats why i asked about the shrick.

a standard vr will keep pace with a 4motion[from experience].if you've got disposable cash fit a s/c,a big hike in performance.more money well spent than the schrick alone. or fit both if you have the suspension and brakes sorted.3k for a s/c-250+ bhp or schrick 210bhp?

Having driven both a shricked VR (my Own) and an AMD tuned 4 motion, I can definately say my VR is quicker.

The 4 motion is so much more refined though, and does feel effortlessly quick and smooth in comparison.

I also have some on board footage of just how much quicker my VR is compared to a tuned 4 motion, all taken on a private road of course ;o)

of course.

its surprising how used to the power you can get. i was driving my vr around and thinking this just doesnt feel that quick any more so i decided to use my camera fone and film the speedo as i was giving it some stick, on a private road, then played it back after and you see how fast the speedo needle climbs and you think damn that is actually still a really fast car!!

i love it!

The Mk4 4Motion has 204BHP to the Mk3 VR's 174BHP, but all the extra power does is help to offset the transmission loss through the 4wd and the extra weight of the Mk4 body.

The 4Motion is slightly quicker from 0-60 due to the extra off-the-line traction the 4wd gives, but once on the move, the Mk3 VR6 is the quicker car. Stealth Vince's words, not mine!
