Recommended Posts

i just acquired a set of 18inch tt alloys 9 spoke multi fit, they fit straight on easy but rear shockie base plate is resting on tyre and front clears susp by about 7or 8 mm.does anyone in vr6land have any ideas on how to make this setup work without rolling arches or should i just swap them for 17s,any input would be greatly appreciated cheers ed.

18's always cause problems on mk3's I think mate.

Obviously spacers will bring the wheels away from the shocks, but then they will move closer to the arches.

I'm pretty sure to get them to fit properly you will have to get the arches sorted.

I had to get my arches rolled and pulled to fit 17x8.5" wheels on mine.....It is lowered quite alot though and I may not have had so many problems if it was raised up abit on the coilovers....but that would have been sacrilege :P

Hi...

Sorry for a slight hijack/ diversion here guys, but...

By multifit, do you mean for example ET 5*100 AND 5*112 so they fit either?

If so, how does this work are there two sets of holes?

If I'm being stupid then I'm sorry guys, but I've seen sets of alloys for sale with the line "multifit - will fit either 5*100 or 5*112" and thought it meant they had two sets of wheels not one set to fit either.

If you don't ask, you don't learn...... ;)

Multi-fit whells do exactly what it says on the tin. But will need an adaptor kit to fit the wheels.

They come with lots of holes in the alloy, to fit 4 x 100, 5 x 100 and 5 x 112. The adaptor kits are set to what you need. I know Dubmeister can get these kits, but if you want them by christmas you're too late now (see parts, suppliersand companies)
