cliveyp 0
It mightr be best that this goes in the Electrical section, but it might be something else so here it lies!Since owning the Highline i've found that the car doesn't respond that well when turning the key (if you catch my drift). I've lived with it for the last few months, but its now a lot worse. I can turn the key, all the lights pop up as normal, but then when i try to start the car absolutely nothing happens. I find myself wiggling and forcing the key to the point that i'm worried it might snap, luckily it hasn't yet. I've found it can be worse when the car is warm too, but this may just be chance. Once i wiggle the key and get the motor to turn over, it's fine, runs great, and stops with no problems, it's just getting it to start to turn over in the first place. I also noticed today a slight whiff of an electrical smell for a few minutes, soon cleared though so might not have necessarily been from my car. Is this likely to be the ignition switch?? Is it a sod to change?? Any help would be appreciated.TIA!

binliner 0
sounds like the ignition switch... its not difficult to change and only costs about a tenner, I think there are 2 types though so make sure you get the right one
