Mines worked twice in the year that I've had the car so Im hoping its just a bad connecttion etcIf I need a new one how much are they roughly?Cheers! Link to post Share on other sites
28v6r 0 Posted November 19, 2005 Report Share Posted November 19, 2005 Dunno if its the same on my Passat.. however the sender is in the grill along side the Fog lamp. You can get at it from both the outside by removing all the vents/grills or alternatively from down the driverside wing beside the headlights and may require the headlight/radiator removal to get at it... all depends how easy you want to make it... silverline 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 there is a small hole in the drivers side grill on mine which has nothing in it, i guess thats for the temp sensor? dont remember even seeing wires? were they an optional extra cos my mfa misses the outside temp mode completely. it goes from oil temp straight back to the clock.
