binliner 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 I saw one in Colchester yesterday (mustve been a demo) and have to say I was really dissapointed with the looks.... the mk4 R32 looks like a mk4 on steroids and still turns my head when I see one on the road... the mk5 looks like an executive model, like a mini passat or something and I only noticed it because of the chrome grill... probably ace to drive but rubbish styling Link to post Share on other sites
seadog 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 a friend of mine test drove a demo mk5 r32 on friday at our local dealer, he drivesa mk4 r32 at the mo!he was most dissapointed, says its way to refined and makes no noise, defo not the animal it should be! !sad ! theres no way he contemplate changin the mk4 for the new 1!! he says it does look better in the flesh than the pictures on the net but again they`ve held back and not made it stand out and b to different!! which is exactly what the mk4 does!! silverline 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 i was in a carpark at the weekend and it was almost empty apart from a mk4 R32 sitting on its own, it looked awesome.i dont think they will ever match the mk4 R32 for looks, never been in one but if it sounds and goes as good as it looks then im sold!!!!!
