matth76 1 Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 HiI'm thinking about buying some 17" bbs alloys (the alloy wheel size is 7.5" I believe) and need to know what PCD is exactly and what size I need to make sure the alloy wheel has - I assume it is to do with the alloy wheel and not the tyre? And what offset (ET) do I need to make sure it is... which one is safer (by safer I mean to ensure it does not rub on the calipers or rub on the inner side of the wheel arch) is it ET35 better than say ET25 for example or vice versa? If there is a risk of the wheels rubbing on the calipers will I need spacers and will this mean it pushes it out further towards the inner side of the wheel arch? I will be fitting a 35mm suspension kit in a few months - will the wheels be affected by a drop of 35-40mm?Also, an important question, I'm looking to buy the 17" bbs alloys second hand. I've yet to see them in person buy they are in good condition (apparently) with at least 3 good good tyres. What price would anyone on here pay for them roughly .. a price if in average condition and what price if in good condition? I've seen some very good top condition(looked similar to split rim) 17" bbs alloys be advertised by a member on here for Link to post Share on other sites

francisjonno 2 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Share Posted November 22, 2005 I don't think mk3 Anniversary alloys are still being sold be vw - even if they are they'll be ridiculously expensive (the polo versions are 4 stud).The 16" BBS split rims fitted to the Anniversary (mk3) are very similar (if not the same) to those fitted to many mk4 GTI's (same fitting as mk3) - these come up on ebay all the time, expect to pay up to Link to post Share on other sites
