DommyVR6 0
Well ive had my camber and wheel alignment done today but is had mede no diffrence to the pulling to the left problem any ideas on what to do or check next? i dont know that when i get new tyres this might help as it went a couple of months b4 i got the alignment done. Or that the left brake might be binding slightly but the car stays in a straight line under hard braking.

matth76 1
Apparently "veering" slightly to the left is a common fault on golf mark 3's. Mine did the same when I first got it and I had the tracking and balancing done which fixed the problem - although it does still veer only very slightly... although it will do because of the camber of the road. Did you have balancing done as well? I do find mine veers a bit when I brake very hard which is a bit disconcerting but easy to prevent and control.

Nerih 0
you cant have 4 wheel camber on a vr6 i dont believe, they only have front camber....only way to really know is to replace all 4 tyres with new ones, have them balanced and tracking done...also check your discs for warping by braking hard and if you veer left or right or you get shuddering, you know its that.ive heard of worn tyres doing this, so check it out m8.dont think vr's have 4 wheel camber, only on fronts. andy 0
It shouldn't veer at all, to either side, if it does something is wrong....as you know. I'd be tempted to check the left front brake out, check it isn't binding. Check your shock absorbers too, to make sure you haven't got a knackered one. Also the wishbone bushes as ingham says. VR6s don't have adjustable camber on the back, but 4 wheel allignment would still highlight any parts out of tolerance. It is possible that your allignment may have been a long way out to start with and you may have worn your new tyres unevenly, now you have had the allignment done, your uneven tyres are still causing it to veer, check out your tyres mate for uneven wear while you're at it.
