wickedonemk2 0
Please Help!!!!!This is a very big cry for help to all those Dubbers who know!I have recently bought a 87mk2 gti that has had a corrado VR6 transplant. thats the easy bit!The project i feel is far from complete but the majority of the work is complete.the engine/gearbox has been fitted and i must say looks awesome BUT the inlet manifold is in dire need of replacement because it has a crack in it and the manifold flange has been broken.. can replace ? how much ..?????NOW the wiring loom is well at the moment none existant, i have to try and find out who has this and obviously get it back but if i cant where could i get one? what would the best route be to get this vw back on the road and can the loom be moded to from gti 8v to the likes of a VR6?are there people out there that can make a new one ?or what would the obvious answer be ? I would really like to get this beast moving Please help ! it should be worth it in the end ??????thanks in advance
binliner 0
Whereabouts are you? You could try Strictly Dubs (01621) 778811 they do VR conversions so should be able to advise and they may well have the parts you need as well

Petesvw 0
I seriously doubt that you could use a 8v loom, I seem to remember reading that they get the whole engine bay loom and splice it in? If not it will be a whole one.

andy 0
I would have thought you'd need to get a standard VR6 loom from a broken VR6 and mod it where necessary to work in the mk2.
