uber-tub 0 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Share Posted December 4, 2005 if you've got to bump it off (ooh er missus!) try to get some speed up and lift the clutch slowly. I know this is Grandma and sucking eggs tackle but if you lift it too quick you jolt the motor and box and test the engine mounts to the limit. If you lift the clutch slowly and don't have any speed you'll just stop. Sorry if I'm patting you on the head but I've pushed some cars further than I've driven them and have seen most bump-starting scenarios. Those vibratechnics mounts aint cheap.
