antera309 3
I use EBC Greenstuff pads and recommend them highly - they come covered with a special bedding in compound that cuts down on squeaks etc. They bite well and the wear rate isn't too bad.I buy them from here:http://www.performancebrakes.co.uk/They used to offer a discount for VR6OC members, not sure if they still do, but their prices are good. francisjonno 2
I'd definitely recommend ebc greenstuff pads with zimmerman x-drilled discs. Much better on the road than the original set up
coullstar 2
Ive used standard, pattern and FR and the FR Pagids are soo much better. Dont but cheap pads whatever you do. There are a lot of guys on clubgti that are slagging EBC by the way.
28v6r 0
Doesn't the greenstuff/ fast road pads give a spongy pedal until heated up though.. I mean if your doing normal in town driving are they not a little slow to respond until heated...just curious as I was going through the same decision to make.. and wasn't to convinced about fast road stuff baring in mind that mine isn't a golf but a Lab (dog) carrier.... coullstar 2
They are onlt slighty less effective but TBH I have never noticed it. Just wait till you do some enthusiastic driving and you'll be glad you used the FR. The pagids do preduce a shed load of dust mind you.
