stuey 0
Hi , i was thinking of getting a K&N panel filter for the original airbox, and have seen that the cone/trumpet inside can be removed for a bit more induction noise, but can it be replaced if need be? I don't want to pull it out and then find it can't go back if i want to replace it. Cheers !lol

RIX 0
there are a couple off, bumps that hold it plus some glue, try getting a skrewdriver in between where the maf goes, and wikkel it the hole way around, the you can push i out with a skrewfriver where our little finger is. SankysVR6 1
Try squirting some fairy liquid down the cone side, And use Flat scredriver to push the lugs out.Theres been a post about this before try doing search you might the answers your looking for.
Buzzark 0
It's just tight - I took mine out yesterday how topical! There's a long lug underneath it that it slides along (lol - slide isn't exactly right) and a couple of dome bits at quarter to and quarter past that press against the sides to grip it in place.Lube these 3 bits and it should come our fairly easily - washing up liquid is probably best as it's easiest to clean up afterwards - DO NOT use silicone which would otherwise be perfect or your lambda sensor will die. SankysVR6 1
To tell you the truth i didn't notice much difference in the sound.
Buzzark 0
Yeah, not much difference above standard. It'll depend more on what filter you fit inside the box the paper filter I've put in for now makes it very quiet.
