Airbox cone replaceable?

Recommended Posts

Hi , i was thinking of getting a K&N panel filter for the original airbox, and have seen that the cone/trumpet inside can be removed for a bit more induction noise, but can it be replaced if need be? I don't want to pull it out and then find it can't go back if i want to replace it. Cheers !lol

It's just tight - I took mine out yesterday how topical!

There's a long lug underneath it that it slides along (lol - slide isn't exactly right) and a couple of dome bits at quarter to and quarter past that press against the sides to grip it in place.

Lube these 3 bits and it should come our fairly easily - washing up liquid is probably best as it's easiest to clean up afterwards - DO NOT use silicone which would otherwise be perfect or your lambda sensor will die.
