patrick green 0
£1600 + the VAT! And AMD's price is nearly £2000 inc VAT!! I'd love a charger but I think £1100 inc VAT is more within reach for most people rather than £2500+ just for the s/c. We only need a minimum of 10 ppl so there must be that many out there who missed out 1st time round?

patrick green 0
Ok this is from the previous group buy:Words from Vince:---------It is not absolutley essential that the car gets remapped (chipped) immediatley altough desirable at some point. Some cars will be better than others on the current chip. Point to look out for would be pinking at or near the 3000rpm point,(normally 75% + throttle position) this is not good, the engines do have knock sensors but if pinking is evident it means that they are just not coping. If remaps are required then I will deal with you on a one to one basis for your requiremants. Current prices are £375 + vat for a Unichip (piggy back type ECU) . This type of ECU is usefull if you intend on further mods as it can be readjusted later on at just the cost of an hour or two on the rollers. Or you can have your existing ECU remapped at £350 + vat, This is done by Geoff (ex AMD at our premises). It's going to be difficult to get you all to chip at the same time so I will offer a discount to all manifold purchasers as and when you require. I'm not sure exactly of remap discounts at the moment but £50 off each of the above prices seems feasible. If fitting of the manifold is required then we will charge £100 + vat for this service. If you prefer DIY fit then I will offer technical advice to anyone who needs it, just telephone me.Generally we see around 30ftlb increase between 3000 and 4000rpm. BHP normally goes up by around 10. Idle is standard, there should be no change, we have had customer reports saying that when driving normally the fuel consumption can be a little better, I guess it's down to the addtional torque, not having to change down a cog when overtaking for example. So if you want the Schrick, fitting & a re-map (yr own ECU chip) it comes to just under £1500 inc VAT so you save around £300-£500 8o)

VRmonster 1
dont all kick off at me. but i prefer the standard inlet manifold. altho id swap for a motorsport vsr anyday. jus dont like the look of the schrick vgi. dont get me wrong, i think the performance side of it is killer. jus wouldnt buy something i dont like the look of.[ Edited Thu May 06 2004, 12:48AM ]

nickbee 1
jus wouldnt buy something i dont like the look of.[ Edited Thu May 06 2004' date= 12:48AM ]Agreed it looks better as standard but only just - the VR6 engine is an ugly thing %-6 ! Not that I care - the engine's main purpose is not to look good, it's to make your car go faster !amazed !
apd 0
like the idea of the shrick manifold, but would have to see the benefits at first hand:drivability, performance, economy?as opposed to standard vr.
