Mastiff 0
This maybe of interest. The car used is a MK3 GTI 16v but it does show interesting results on the dyno from a standard airbox to a modified airbox to an induction kit.http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=129025.
bethslad 1
Hello matey peeps, i just got a jetex induction kit as the lad that had my vr before me had ripped out most of the air box before i got it so needed to get one, ok so it didn't cost the earth to buy but it certainly does the job and the noise from it is just about the right level
ThermalP4 1
I installed a Neuspeed P-Flo about 2 months back which is basically a open cone with a heatshield which I didn't fit because it it didn't fit properly.Feel a big loss of low down power. Feels very flat at the moment. Will be popping the airbox back on with a panel filter and see what the difference is.
ThermalP4 1
For anyone who's interested, I swapped back to the standard airbox yesterday.Straight away there was an inital low down improvement but after running it for a full day it's now like a different car.I usually put it in 3rd and wait for the revs to drop a bit say just below 2krpm and then accelerate. It pulls a lot more from low down and gets to speed a lot faster.I suppose VW/Audi spend milions on development so the airbox can't be that bad for a standard engine. VR6Pete 1,455
I've just installed the BMC CDA on my latest VR6, looks and sounds great, i know they are expensive, but probably are one of the better induction kits on the market.
