purple highline monster 0
wheels will fit etc right et and ofset, dont know about arch clearance?? how much gap do you have now between ur arch and top of tyre now? not very scientific i know but a rolling radius of a 17 inch 8 j rim with a 205 40 tyre on will be the same size (what you gain in rim size you lose in tyre profile, if you get what i mean?) + or - a few mm as a 205 50 0n a 15 in rim (if you lay a 17 inch rim with 40 profile rubber on top of a 15 inch rim qith 50 profile rubber they will be same size), so in theory if your tyre dont hit now it could be ok? just remember you are adding an inch width though, so it may make a difference... the rims are nice, i still like those borbet E ones the guys selling, they are a bit more "timeless" just imo, personal choices and all that, good luck! petervr6 0
i see the side should be ok then but the width hmmm? its quite close prob jus and inch spare now with the standard rim. so if i went for 7.5 that should def be ok what do you think dont mean to be a pain guy just want to get it right and all the nice rims seem to be 8j just looked at them borbet E didnt see the pic of the golf same colour as mine as well look pretty nice would mind them quite cheap to. but agian there 8j
stockers 1
you may need to get the arches rolled, give www.styledynamix.com a call as they stock these wheels they will be happy to give advice
purple highline monster 0
you may have enough clearance? in theory the offset should compensate a bit, as stockers says give those guys a ring for a better bit of an idea, i have got 8j 17`s and a big drop on coilovers dunno how much though? and mine clear fine
petervr6 0
i thinks i see what your saying the 8j rim wount stick out as much because the off set is 35 i take it that means the wheel sits under the arch more that an et20/38 not sure which way the et works so excuse my eg of the offset. purple highline monster 0
as long as you dont have to use a spacer to push the hub back out to clear a caliper/ or suspension leg (some ofset and standard shocks can foul on the spring or leg) (the lower the ofset the further out the hub sits) (my rims are et 60 with hubsentric adapters to bring them back out to et35 and alter bolt pattern to 112 instead of 100) check with the guy selling them, he will have some more answers i would think as he states "email me" "will they fit your car?" give him your set up and ask about clearance and ofset etc.

petervr6 0
asked style dynamics thay said. On the wheels that you asked about cant really say if they’ll rub till they are on the car to be honest. They come in 8x17 and they may require spacers on the wheels to clear the brakes on the VR6. cos we haven’t done this particular wheel before its hard to say BUT we have done plenty of 8x17 wheels on VR6’s..The next options down would be the 7.5x16 which again will require spacers maybe but a lot better option as far as the arch rubbing goes
purple highline monster 0
just stick 8`s on and remember... "if it aint rubbin it aint v dubin!!!"seriously though if i hadnt got my ZW1`s i would have got the BBS RX,imo they look fantastic on a VR6,ok not unique but quality is asured and you know they look great on any vw, a truely timeless rim imo and available in 7.5 X 17 with et 35 for vr6 bolt straight on no agro and will clear calipers and arches
