golfa 0
surly a vr6 with a turbo wud beat a stanard r32 in all departments and a supercarged vr6 wud make a r32 look silly am i correct?
Eat this 2
id expect it too in a staraight line mine is easily a match once rolling
dubloke 4
agree with the above tbh, any decent vr6 will keep pace no probs with an r32 once over around 30mph! a charged vr would blitz one into next week!
apd 0
my buddy as just purchased a R32.will let you know how it fairs against a s/c vr when we get it on!

apd 0
if a scooby sti[o4] cannot live with me down a 2 mile bypass stretch[left it for dead!].i cannot see an R32 keeping up?LOL.when i got to the roundabout at the bottom of the bypass[slowed right down for him to catch up].he wouldn't come alongside so i could laugh at him, knowing an 11yr old golf just kicked his arse!get the impression if you drive a scooby you think you're untouchable in the speed stakes? Ferrari VR6 0
interesting one apd, i am and im sure lots of others are looking forward to hearing what the score is between your charged vr and your mates r32 cos a mate of mine that used to own a sc vr now has a r32 and he rekons the r32 is in a different league, i'm with you, i rekon he's just talking up his r32 and the sc vr will take the stock r32 but we'll see when you've done some... 'testing'
Zonda_ 0
What have you done to your VR so that it "left it for dead" bearing in mind the Scooby has at least 100bhp more? Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Scoobs but I know that neither of my VR6s were a match for an STi.Also, I travelled to Le Mans in my mates R32 and we were running with R33 Skyines. I know for a fact that my standard VR6's would not keep up.
apd 0
i remember MINTY passing comment he used to waste R32S.with similar spec.milsy has this vr now.you nameit zonda my vr has it,anoraks old bus.2.9-v2 blower,BVH,248 CAMS-shrick vsr.large throttle bodies.aquamist,t/c.eibach arbs, koni coilovers.303bhp/278torque.will keep u posted when we get it on! Zonda_ 0
Well I knew it couldn't be standard. I mean, my MK 1 Golf has been filmed passing Ferraris on track but it's had £10k spent on it!

Don't get me wrong' date=' I'm no fan of Scoobs but I know that neither of my VR6s were a match for an STi.[/quote']A standard VR6 is not as quick up to 60 as an '01 Scoob Bugeye WRX (227BHP model) - tried and tested, I'm afraid! An '04 STi with PPP has 300BHP+ would leave a standard VR6 for dead.If we're talking about a VR6 with a supercharger or turbo, then that's a different matter
