fag packet calculation = 8515 l/min (8.515 m^3/min)

making some really crude assumptions

assuming stoichiometric = 14.7:1

rpm = 6500

swept vol = 2.8 litres

2.8x (14.7/15.7) = 2.62 litres/2 revs (coz it's 4 stroke only 3 cylinders intake per rev)

2.62/2 = 1.31 l/rev

1.31x6500 = 8515 litres (about 300 cfm)

I haven't been able to find exact figures but that doesn't sound unreasonable.

If that's the case then the BMC CDA has a intake diameter of 80mm. The speed 8515 litres per minute of air would need to go (assuming incompressible) through that intake oriface would be 1686 m/s or 3771 mph, that's more than 5 times the speed of sound at sea level !amazed
