purple highline monster 0
Q,1 Highline vr6`s come with aircon, a lot of other cars have it as an option and also leather, (highlines have highline written on the log book and unless its purple or black its not a highline)Q,2 change over year is 1995 around N plate you can tell a later spec car buy oval wing repeaters and no wheel arch trim and completely body coloured trim and bumpers, it should also have an obd2 version engine slight differences to earlier type (some early highlines have the square wing repeaters though!) just to confuse the issue!Q,3 most issues are the same as other car buying guides, just check all the panels and mechanicals as best you can, some high mileage vr6`s can have rattly timing chains (very expensive to change upto £800 at a garage) and poor running or misfires if not looked after, head gasket and water pumps are things to look for signs of failure, if it looks abused dont buy there are loads about!Q,4 average mpg is from 15 upto 35 mpg on a good run depends how and where your driving! ive had mine as low as 11 mpg!! depends how heavy your right foot isQ,5 insurance on normal vr6 is group 17 the highline is group 18 due to full leather and extras on itQ6 most vr6 came with a factory logic 900 series alarm, although most will have some sort of aftermarket one if not, make sure you get both alarm fobs if its a logic one as you need a master and slave, master has white coloured led that illuminates red slave just has red led on fob, the immobiliser on them is part of the igniton key system and ecu so you have to retain it!! there is a comprehensive buyers guide on here but is only open to premium members, i am sure if your search around lots of your questions will be answered already in the forum posts, this is not a definitive guide and i am sure it will be added to by other members but i hope this helps a bit
