delete-me 1 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Share Posted January 23, 2006 I have just bought a Sachs Racing pressure plate.Can I use a stock Sachs clutch disk on it?Or do I NEED to use a Sachs disk at all?I need a everyday day use disk.. Live in Oslo, and the traffic sucks Have a Z-Engineering ZR2 kit, and Peloquin. Ive been talking to Sachs in Oslo, and they where not sure if the normal disk fitted. FishWick 21 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Share Posted January 23, 2006 Yeah you can use a normal friction disc with the racing pressure plate, it's just the stronger springs of the racing plate that gives you more bite strength over standard anyway but Helix Autosport do some nice organic plates that bite really well, but they don't last as long as stock. Bear in mind the stock clutch and tranny are good for 300hp and about 280ish lb/ft anyway, are you sure you want the heavier pedal from the sachs racing plate in heavy traffic? Trust me, your knee will ache big time after an hour's use...... Link to post Share on other sites

Trust me, your knee will ache big time after an hour's use......[/quote']what are you a girl ,i help a friend change his clutch on his s2 with about 450bp,it´s a real race clutch with 6 arms one and a very strong pressure plate,i didnt think that was hard,the std. rs4 clutch is heavy but ok,my old car s2 avant had uprated plate and disc,no probs either.maybe its because i way over 110kg !lol,you could have bought a complet sach race/performance clutch,from www.20v.dk for 4000dk.
