Eat this 2
yeh rms is the only number that means anythin i ran 75 watss per channel rms through stock speakers and they took it amps sound loads better than stock cuz even at lower volume they dont work as hard as head unit
Caddyslammed 16
you must know what i mean though, dont wanna start running new cables rcas and screwin amps in, just want a nice sounding set up for minimal disturbance, it must be possible to get an ok sound from a good headunit and 4 quality speakers even using the existing vag cheapo speaker cable? purple highline monster 0
I just upgraded all my door speakers to Alpine "E" sxe 1725 s series speakers, they fit straight in the existing door pods and behind the grilles properly, i got them from here http://search.ebay.co.uk/alpine-speakers_W0QQfromZR40QQfrtsZ50QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1 for about £18 a set, its the 16.5 cm ones you need, all you have to do is cut the old vw connectors and crimp some new ones on, mine sounds 50 times better, like you, i didnt want a disco! just a better sound.
