dubberVR6 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Report Share Posted February 5, 2006 Help! Just installing an amp and sub, all wires are in and connected. Everytime I hook the power cable up to the battery, the 30amp fuse on the amp pops. All the wiring is correct and there are no bad earths. Whats going wrong????? Link to post Share on other sites

blackmagic 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Report Share Posted February 5, 2006 Hi if you sure your amp is ok then that only leaves you wiring if you remove the fuse from the amp itself and then connect the power to the battery does it still blow . Even if the earth connection was poor the fuse should be ok until you power up the amp so try removing remote wire from amp and see if she still pops. Finally you may have caught the power cable on the bulk head or some other metal part of the chassis so therefore earthin out the power try and get a second power cable and run it from the amp to the battery on the outside of the car if this works the original power cable is at fault .
