Matt W 4 Posted February 6, 2006 Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 Hmm tricky to explain but i'll give it a go, at least what i understand any way. A normal OEM headlight uses a reflector system therefore it use mirrors for want of a better word to reflect the light forward and give it a patern. Where as a projector uses effectively a magnifying glass to project a beam, albeit with something across the projector to give the right patern. Normally you find on projector headlights that the dipped lights are projector and the high/main lights are reflector.For example if you have OEM fogs they use projector technology or the Hella DE or Hella Celis lights.
