c3vrg 2
I had my kongsports fitted to my mk3 vr6 and i have been playing with the ride height ,but the front left has only about 13 mm thread left and the front drivers side has 29mm left. i have measured the centre of the wheel to the top of the arch and its the same ,is this normal . It drives fine . :?: :?:
purple highline monster 0
dunno if FK do this for a reason? but most standard VW suspension has an extra 10mm clearance on drivers side to allow for the weight of the driver! i found i had to have my FK coilovers set slightly higher on the drivers side anyway to compensate as i am quite a big built roughty tufty rugby chap just make sure you dont go mad on the slam as this can affect the tracking and camber settings if they were done when it was higher :|
c3vrg 2
Ahh i see ,i have it quite low ,so the top of the tire is about level with the inner top wheel arch (think this makes sense lol) Im ok with most speed humps.I have it booked in for 4 wheel alighment saturday ,but say if i need to ever raise the height 10mm allround would this cause camber traking problems ?thanks Mark
purple highline monster 0
you have a bit of tolerance if you do raise it, you will notice it through driving it if it affects it much any way, just keep a check on your tyres for any un even wear, or just take it in and get a "free check" done on it
MrBen 0
As phm says, it is quite normal for a bit of difference side to side, though mine were within about 3mm. Make sure you have used brand new VAG top mounts or the difference could be give in old top mounts.
