fatboy-slim 0
Hi, hope someone can help, i have just changed the disc and pads front & back everything went ok but when i started the car the abs light go's off and then comes back on and stays on.If that is not bad enough i was pulling away from some traffic lights today and the abs started to kick in front left then right just for a split second.Anyone got any ideas ,have got a feeling this is going to cost me. six appeal 53
Think you may have dislodged one of the sensors when you have been doing the pads or at least got one of them dirty. They have a habit of being very vunerable, so take the wheels back off and give them a good check and clean, see if this works, if not one may be on its way out! Think they are only about £50 from GSF.
gazbrook 0
i have a dodgy wheel speed sensor on my car and have a permanent abs light on ,the front ones are about £65 each and the back one about £35 from gsf, thats on my to do list when i get my car back,if you can't see which one it is a diagnostic machine should be able to tell you
antera309 3
Yes, sounds like a sensor problem. Check that the ABS sensors are fitted properly and haven't come loose. Check cabling to the sensors too. Give them a clean too if you can.
