this is starting to become quite a common problem , i work at a errrrrrrrr a vauxhall main dealer at the mo and they have this problem . what it comes down to is that they cannot use asbestos ( i know thats not how its spelt) in the brakes anymore . the pads are much harder making discs ware out much faster . what type of pads did u use i use fast road pads seem to be ok. what i do at work to help this problem is put a 45 degree edge on the leading edge of the pad and some times on the trailing edge . some pads already come with this done . it helps with the bedding in plus the squeek is not as bad

This seems to be a more common fault in vento's than golf's...it sounds like the same problem I had with the same wheel. If it sounds more like a rubbery creek at slow speeds, and only on part of the wheel rotation, and a grinding noise on lock at speed, especially constant turns like going round a roundabout it is more likely to be the hub, not majorly expensive, and the job means replacing the wheel bearing too. Bonus :) . Dont throw money at the car changing brakes, bearings etc I recommend trying the hub first. Good luck.

I had one where the disc didnt sit back cleanly on the hub and ran slightly out of true, absolutley drove me mental beyond belief.

Squeek,Squeek,Squeek all the bloody time!!

I replaced the hub and it's all good now.
