So now looking to cancel and go with another company that does insure with this mod.I've heard of HIC... are they any good? How good is their customer service and how cheap are they? thegoth 5 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 Brentacre told me that my mods would be covered like for like but the policy document (from Ensign) said otherwise.After a week waiting for confirmation (normally people take their word for it!!), during wich my insurance lapsed, they hadn't even contacted Ensign so I phoned Adrian Flux who gave me a competative quote and cover within the day.TGp.s I don't have a chip just samcos, a panel filter and fk highsports.P.P.S. and don't get me started on the agro I had trying to get a full policy documnet out of them (brentacre) before taking out cover. I wanted a full wording before hand because they would have charged me over #100 if I'd cancelled, even within the 14days cooling off period (pennies to the insurer but the FULL commission to Brentacre). Good job too as the big differnece between the summary and full document was the exclusion of carputers from the cover. Link to post Share on other sites
purple highline monster 0 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 i had insurance with brentacre, they were quite good, although i never had to claim, they did try and rip me off with a renewal though just coz they couldnt be bathered to do another quote, result was a £200 cheaper policy from HIC and brentacre lost my buisness! I was previously with Adrian Flux who although very good were extremely hard to get hold of as they are shut weekends and close at 5.30pm! Plus my renewal came through (this was on my old car) and it had actually gone down by only £1 (with not changes in my circumstances). So decided to move. Thanks for all the help and comments though.
