dubbed_up_daz 8
Ive raked through three photobucket accounts and cant find pics of the VR manifold I done. Heres another one I done thoughOriginal still fitted to the enginein place with the cover onbetter picture of the originalhalfway through the main body with a fair bit of smoothing and deletingfinishedPolishing is all about time and having the patience. The longer your on it the better the finish usually. That and decent equipment is key, access to air tools or at least elecric based orbital sanders is a great help and speeds up the process.Alu belgom is a good restoring polish if there is slight tarnishing as is meguiars metal polish but the more often you look after polished items the easier they are to keep at their best
tjsmudger 2
On page two, someone asked about electro plating. I used to work at one and a colleague did a foreigner for a pal of his while on nights. He nickel plated them then heat treated overnight in a oven, then he chrome plated the next night then the following night spent most of it polishing to mirror finish!! Turned out belting and I think he charged £100. If I was still I would of had mine done yolks ago for sure.
