Guy 1
Well there I was, wondering to myself if I could justify the expence and hassle of sorcing some height adjustable headlights, and the corresponding light switch when a mate pops up in his Audi A3 with two broken headlights and asks me to change em over for these new ones he has.I swapped them over for him and he asks me to bin the headlights for him if I would.Soooo, as I'm walking to the bin and about to recycle the glass correctly and removing the bulbs to go in the drawer to be used when a blown bulb next occours, when I notice the height adjusters are electric ones and thought.... I'll have them, and duly unscrewed em and went to chuck em in the parts drawer of my filing cabinet, when I spyed a spare headlight and just thought I'd see if it fits .It bloody did too. excellent stuff !!Then looking further into my parts drawer I found my light switch from my old 16v mk3 and it s only got a blooming height adjuster. so all thats needed now is a loom. Any one tried doing this ? I'd be well chuffed if I could get it to work.Any pointers from someone whos tried it before ?Oh and the upside of this is it dawned on me that if you buy after market lights and they have the same apertures and fittings on the back then you can have hieght adjustable aftermarket lights too.oWould that be just too much to ask for ?Im gonna check but I think I might even have a spare set off an audi80 to boot.
