Guest Olly_K
just over 200bhp and 200lb of torque. not happy with it so will be looking at s/c'salthough it drives lovely on the road though !
antera309 3
Schrick & 264 cams is a very subtle performance improvement, it has to be said.If you're after a real "kick in the back", s/c is the way to go. Or turbo if you're really brave![ Edited Thu May 27 2004, 02:45PM ]
eViL 0
but then you'll have to change your cams to 248's. Don't forget that.I've got some sitting in my garage..

antera309 3
One of those AmD throttle bodies is well worth considering.Gotta be worth another 7bhp.[ Edited Fri May 28 2004, 10:43PM ]
FishWick 21
It made a nice difference to my engine. There's a guy that mods them himself for £120 exchange. Does a lot of BMW throttle bodies too.More info here:- http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11119
eViL 0
but then you'll have to change your cams to 248's. Don't forget that.I've got some sitting in my garage.. You can run 264's with a s/c with no benefit.. £600 down the drain.
antera309 3
The throttle body has gotta be worth a go. It will continue to be a benefit even if you go supercharged later on.
Guest Olly_K
you loose torque with the throttle body, believe i know.
FishWick 21
I didn't lose any.
antera309 3
I think I'm gonna get one. Then we'll get to see if there's a loss of torque at the RR day.
Guest Olly_K
speaking to vince, he says in his experience they loose torque, but gain a few BHP. After having mine fitted throttle response was slightly better, but not much to right home about. I would still keep mine though !
FishWick 21
I agree. The difference they bring about isn't massive but for some reason, it works very well on the 2.9 lump, along with a matched AMD remap. I dunno, maybe the extra 80 odd cc needs more air?The car I liberated the TB and AMD ECU from (Corrado) produced 215bhp and 224ft/lbs. If mine is anywhere near that on our forthcoming Stealth rolling road day, I'll be well chuffed.
Desire68 0
I think i'll keep mine as it is for now, until i get board with the power anyway!
