VR6Steve 0
Originals are a fortunte, about £12 each, of buy them as NGK's who make the plugs for VW in the first place.Failing that I've had no probs with running Bosch plugs.
andysteele 0
i had Bosch's to start with and replaced them with NGK's from the dealer.... i think the Bosch are better, slightly better economy in mine.... anyone know the Bosch part code?
sam 0
I asked Vince @ Stealth the same question and his advice was to use the 2 prong type plugs (as used in early OBD1 engines) and replace them every 10k miles These plugs are approx £3 each so you end up saving a little compared to if you use the platinum type plugs (approx £10 each) which last for 3 yr's or so
fatboy-slim 0
I have been bidding on denso iridium on ebay wot do you lot think of them.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43120&item=7902240736
just2zang 0
ive been using BOSCH F6DTC, they were recomended especially if u r using a charger cos they do not break down under immense heat. I have used them on my vr before intalling the charger. They worked fine, they are three prong though. as for platinum I have not heard good things as they tend to last only 10k miles, so no point purchasing. the denso plugs are supposed to be amazing, and are used by many americans. Dont think they last long at all though

FishWick 21
I tried some NGK iridiums and didn't notice any difference in the way the engine ran, but they would last longer than standard ones. Which is no bad thing if you've got a Schrick manifold.I would tend to go along with what Vince says to be honest.Kev
