spanky 0
I don't know if is the right section to post this. I have the original vw sony cd multichanger in my VR which works fine with original cd's but jumps (sometimes really badly) with copied cd's. the things on the sides are turned to the correct angle for the way it's installed. any ideas? thegoth 5
a) Has the problem just started? Are all the copies made using the same blanks?c) and/or on the same burner?I'd suggest trying a different brand of media. Also try burning them at a lower speed which should help to reduce the 'jitter' and help the laser to keep on track.TG
spanky 0
It's done this ever since i've had it (since august last year). All the cd's are burnt on different machines with different disc brands, but I'll try burning them at a lower speed and see if that works, cheers mate
dubloke 4
sorry dude, moved this into the ice thread as its more at home here.how old is the cd player as some burnt cd's wont play on an older cd player as the lens wears out and has trouble picking up the deeper etched signal! Whitedog 0
Your not listening to House of Pains "Jump Around" are you?
spanky 0
Cheers dubloke, sorry about that. It's from 97 when the car was made. I also had a thought that cd players of that age were made to not play copied cd's to stop piracy, but since i tunes etc companies have started making their players play copied cd's again. does anyone know if this is so? not got that in my car Whitedog but it is the ring tone on my phone!! ha ha
Guy 1
I had similar probs with my multi and burning them at a slower rate helped improve things, as it turned out my burner was on the way out.Buying better media helps too.I hope this helps.
jezmoz 0
use verbatim discs and nero to burn and make sure your changer is secured otherwise get an mp3 player and wack it in your aux in if you have one , job done no more discs
