deep chin spoiler??

hi im buying a new deep chin spoiler coz mine is fu*ked.

im not going to vw coz they are to much money!

which would be best GSF or GPC???

i know they do them on e-gay aswell??? ?!

GPC sell proper VW ones, or at least did when I last bought one from them.

The GSF ones are truly rubbish. Don't fit and are brittle so crack way too easily.

Got mine from euro car parts, £26 for the pair and are as good as what came off, well better really as the original one came off in about 16 pieces due to some cat who wasnt quick enough.

VAG ones are supposed to be better quality than aftermarket. Got all mine for £59, which may be more than others but it is supposed to absorb any impacts better as opposed to being brittle. Mines the same as yours Whitedog... looks far better than the later vr6 'thin' standard splitter which I used to have, which is exactly the same as on the bog standard 1.4 golf.

Not sure why the earlier vr6's and gti's got the deep front splitter whereas the later ones didn't.

Yeah, deeper is best, but it catches on quite a bit, mostly when you come off a speed bump...bloody things, whose idea were they anyhow...

My understanding is that a lot of fleet operators complained as they had to keep replacing them when careless company car users bashed them on kerbs etc! They were pretty low for a standard front spoiler, even at standard ride height.
