antera309 3
I always go for Kenwood or Alpine head units. The Alpines in particular have a really nice rich sound. Not as expensive as they used to be either.Hard-disk based MP3 units are still ridiculously expensive. The CD-based units still hold 100+ tracks on 1 CD. And MP3-capable CD boot loaders are available too if you want 500+ tracks on-line at once. How about something like this?:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18798&item=5701722622&rd=1 [ Edited Thu May 27 2004, 10:00AM ]

I've had Sony since the 90's and IMO, the early Sony head units were a load of pap with regards to sound quality. However, in the last few years they've come along way IMO. Sound quality is easily on par with Kenwood and Pioneer. As for being easier to use, they're like Nokia phones, if you can use one, then you can use them all......they're so easy to operate. I've currently got the CDX1000TF which i rate highly against any other current headunits, features and sound quality.Anyway that's my tuppence.......not too biased though am i
