madscort 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Share Posted April 27, 2006 hi guys/gals got a prob with the vr6! its a 93l, now this happens regargless of hot or cold, the car turns over but dusnt start, then i leave it it will fire, but then go a mile down the road same thing after leaving a few mins i just about get it to start now im worried tht this could put me in bother while im workin ant ideas ? flc867 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Report Share Posted May 2, 2006 Hi guys, it might possibly be your throttle body or even your air mass meter, or you guys may call it the airflow meter...Im from SA and my 98' VR's air mass meter packed up, which was causing her to idle funny and sometimes not start...try cleaning out the throttle body and unplug your air mass meter its the first plug just after your air box going up... MOZ-IIIVR6 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Share Posted May 10, 2006 See my later thread but I had a similar problem that has turned out to be the engine speed sensor. Try and get it on a vag com and see if it is throwing up any fault codes. Mine was hence the repair.Hope this helps. Link to post Share on other sites
