Guest golf21.8l

i just bought a 1990 golf 1.8 8v and i am really itching to drop a vr turbo in it but i just dont really know how too. I already own a 96 jetta glx vr6 but that motor needs to much work and i cant use that anyway because i need a daily driver. can someone please help me out and possibly give me a list of the parts and the steps that need to be taken.

any tips at all will be very appriciated

if you want to see pics of the two cars go to my myspace site.

ive just done my conversion mate, IDEALY, the best thing to do is try to find a written off or cheap mk3 vr6. that way you have ALL the parts you need: subframe, driveshafts, box, full loom, ecu, transponder box with keys (if you buy 95 onwards vr6), hydrolic clutch mech, etc and because you mk2 is 1990, the loom will fit more or less straight into the fuse box. the only thing you will need to buy is corrado pedal box.

go onto www.mk2vr6.com there alot of info there too!

i personaly would go late '95 onwards, coilpack models as they tend to produce slight bit more power as standard, but this is only if you manage to get the ecu, transponder box and key from the same car.

or....

you could try and find a corrado vr6, and have a 2.9 ;)
