Gearbox Mount

Hi could any one give me some info on the best and cheapest place to get a gearbox rubber mount the one at the front VW want £70 !amazed

Are they main dealer only

nope you can get cheaper than that i got mine from a little back street vw audi repairist for £40 brand new and original vw part

Get a MK2 solid rubber turbo diesel one from GSF instead. The OE viscous fluid filled mount is useless.

for £70 you can get a vibra techs ones from amd, which is what i'd go for (and will when i have the money)

its just a little garage in stoke mate that does repairs they had to order it in special for me cos mine was knackered its not that type ov place to do mailorder and i must agree with kev and acf ie the oe ones are crap and vibra techs is defo the way to go allthough i was led to believe they were a lot dearer than 70 so im gonna look into that tomorrow cos id much rather have a vt 1 .

Contacted AMD the front mount is £130

So i think i will have to track a cheaper one down ant ideas im in the oxford area

sorry, thgought you wanted a rear one...the rear ones are about £70 each, front is £150 (inc vat.)

as i said mate if only 70 i would have but for how much they are il be sticking with me oe at present soz.

ive just baught 2 rear mounts waiting to be fitted when i can be arsed. probs over the weekend. the preces were roughly 70 each. they should compliment my front one nicely, as the front nacked the rears in, lol.
