antera309 3
I've tried both Meguirs 3-stage and Autoglym Super Resin Polish/Extra Gloss Protection.I have had excellent results with the Meguirs stuff, but it was bloody hard work and took ages. Autoglyming is quicker, involves a lot less elbow grease, and the results are still very good.
Radostormvr6 2
Got to try the PINNACLE range, its up there with Zymol, but half the price. I've used zymol carbon wax , p21s , meguirs ,autoglym. This beats the lot for me.

Buzzark 0
I've used Ultraglaze which is a gimmicky "5 year" paint sealant. I don't expect it to shine like some of the shorter term waxes or synthetics, or even last as long as 5 years. I just wanted something to seal the paintwork against water as I don't have a lot of time at the moment to spend cleaning my car.I've actually been pleasantly suprised - it beads water like a fresh wax but lasts and seems to shrug off dirt, the car is normally cleaner for longer now. The shine is good, but I'm sure there is better but as an overall product for the price it's a bargain. The only slight down side it that because it beads strongly and isn't as slick as a wax or most synthetics, water doesn't run off as easily, this can lead to some water spotting as opposed to a synthetic. I intend to top it with Menzerna's High Gloss Acrylic Shield which should give it longevity underneath and surface slickness on top.Menzerna's One Step Acrylic Jacket is supposed to be very good as an all in one, or Final Polish 2 as a polish and FMJ (Full Molecular Jacket) as a sealant. I have heard One Step described in tests as "Klasse All In One on steroids".Available at www.polishedbliss.co.uk in the UK.www.properautocare.com is a good US supplier with a lot of good advice and info on choosing what you want. xyber 1
I use Zymol shampoo, then that maguires clay stuff (amazing stuff) then a good quality carnuba wax (at the moment Zymol £50 but well worth it as u dont need much)Defo would use zymol shampoo and meguires clay as they are only about £20 for the pair, polish/wax wise, if you want to keep cost down autoglym super resin polish is real good stuffAlso heard really good reports about this stuffhttp://www.carsparkle.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F1447824&rnd=9774619&rrc=N&affl=&cip=&act=&aff=&pg=ste_cat&ref=p21sand always use a high quality polishing terry cloth, make a big differanceps I HAVE OCD ABOUT HAVING A SHINEY CAR!! HAHAHAUpdate- I now use the full autoglymn lifeshine system with p21s carnuba, ive actually had people stop and stare when its first applied as the paint looks wet, makes all the work worth while
VR6gaz 0
Ive used Autoglym since i worked for Audi as a valeterThe Lifeshine kits are amazing although they are a bit expensive at £300! I did mine with some left overs from an A2 lol

Buzzark 0
Quick update from me - I mentioned I'd heard good things about Menzerna's One step acrylic jacket and it's all true!I got some for Christmas and it really is the best product I've tried so far, long lasting (it's been on a couple of months now with no deteriation). It gives a light polish to bring up the shine and seals well. I'd say that dirt has about 50% less ability to stick to it than anything else I've tried so far, so much so that I just hosed my car last weekend and it almost looked like I'd washed it! The back had a layer of dirt on it that probably would have rinsed off with a powerwasher. I'm very pleased!
antera309 3
I have always had good results with Autoglym super resin polish and extra gloss protection. Meguirs is good too, but requires a bit more elbox grease.
Jimjon 28
i had a valetter come and do my car, this is his write up, there is a bit more but no sure if its gonna clog your forum up. Let me know if this is too muchI was booked in to do a full detail with paint correction on this Corrado VR6 today. The main reason for calling me was the damage on the bumper seen in the pics below caused by a dog trying to fetch a bottle from under the car! After claying the car though i checked out the paint and it was in really good condition so instead of machine polishing the whole car i talked it over with the owner and went with SRP to just bring some shine back.Anyway.. pics and process. Before Wheels cleaned with AG wheel cleaner, Strong TFR mix for body and pressure rinsed, AG Shampoo, then Clay which brought up some dirt but the owner had clayed it a few months back so there wasnt too much. Then the bumper...Started with 106FF = nothingpower gloss = some but not muchAG 03B = more but still loads left.AG 03B again = still loads leftSo.. i decided to use some 1200 wet and dry paper.Got it down to a level i was happy with although some of the deeper marks were left.Polished back up with 03B > final finish 106FF So that done... and like i said the car being in good condition it was on with the SRPAnd then Megs #7 glaze. The light was good at this point so i took some pics. these are before the collinite but it was still looking pretty good at this point. Then 1 layer of collinite 476s before it was dark. Will be going back tomorrow to apply another layer of 476s, do all the rubber and black plastic, glass and the interior, and will get some pics in better light.
xyber 1
Ive just bought another full lifeshine kit just to keep in the garage until my present one runs out, only £40! The polishing cloths that come with it alone are worth £20 (and yes it is the full p.d.i kit dealers use, in sealed box) This stuff is awesome, if you use all the goodies in the kit then top it of with a decent carnuba wax (p21s is quality for the price)you can easily get paint work looking like its still wet paint. It takes 5hrs or so to fully valet in and out baring in mind each type of polish needs 30-60mins to cure b4 polishing off, also if you look on ebay u can get the AUTOGLYM training dvd for like £3 and that is surprisingly helpful, bar the 70's porn music
