jloppy1 0
hi m8 i have had this problem with mine also.Solution i found is to first test cable only in OPTIONS, when found then plug into car and test again (ignition on) then save.My cable only works on COM4.(if it comes back com port inaccessible unplug usb then plug back in then re-test)Hope this helps
vr6g 0
this is what ihave done, yet it won't pick up the cable or the car. If it helps, my car has the obd2 port beside the ashtray yet has all obd1 stuff, e.g throttle body etc, it's a '95 car so do i need to use obd2 software(which i have) or obd1 software, (which i don't have!) VR6_Absy 0
Don't despair m8, my car is the same configuration and it will work with the software you've got. You'll probably be connecting to COM1 on your computer so run the test in Options. The next step is to run the find modules i think make sure your ignition is on or i think you can just check something like the immobiliser and this will then give you the option to register if you haven't already. Not many modules are available for OBD1 i think its only Engine, ABS, Airbag and Immobiliser.Good luck
