jb9999 0
Anyone got one of these fitted (advertised on awesomegti site)? They claim a 5% increase in power by reducing air intake temperature. Cheap extra few bhp for £45, if they are any good and do what they say on the tin, or a waste of time and money? *-)
Petesvw 0
Havn't got one, but have been considering one of thease my self.Remember reading about them in PVW!
jb9999 0
Think, for the price, gotta be worth a try Pete. Quite a bit cheaper than the modified pulley set they are selling that gives an extra 5bhp at the wheels(£200 immsmw)???????

VRTrickster 0
Ive ordered one of these, but Im fitting it along with a few other mods so I wont be able to notice the gasket on its own !
DundeeDub 0
looks like a copy of these http://www.momentummotorparts.com/store/engine.asp you'll need longer bolts to fit them properly, been thinking about this since i found it over a year ago, but never got round to it. VRTrickster 0
Just received my Power Gasket and should be going on tomorrow.Just a little bit concerned as it states on the instructions that there could be some interference with the alternator that would require some minor grinding of housing. For Corrados with VR6 engines, there may be some interference with the clearance of the hood and engine!Lets just hope there isnt! Im thinking that maybe fitting my Vibratechnic front and rear mounts may of lowered the engine slightly? The gasket is 3mm thick. Ill let you know if there is any problems
FishWick 21
My gasket arrived today, snapped in half. Awesome put it in a jiffy bag which was rather stupid I thought. I shall request the new one arrive in a box!BTW, you have to drop the alternator to get at the bottom left manifold bolt. Oh the fun! It's not that bad actually. Head light out, air box out, remove alty bolts, pull alty through headlight hole. I doubt much clearancing is required if it does foul the alternator.
Slim 0
I'm guessing if there are alternator issues, then having a 120amp alternator and air con stuff in that general area is going to be a major pain in the rectum too?
sprx3 0
guys i really dont think they would do to much remember up to 5% tested on an 800hp 40psi engine, i would have my money & put it towards something a little more proven. I cant see it changing inner manifold temps to much at all, let alone giving you extra power......
FishWick 21
Slim - Yes I think you might have some headaches. I'm not sure, it's just what I've been told. Mine's coming off anyway to fit the Schimmel log manifold, so I'll let you know!
