aad 0
I went to my bros house the other day.To see their new vxr and then he took me to see his new purchase which he is picking up next week a black Evo VlllDo you think I would out run these in my charged vr. As he wants to do a video shoot of all three carshttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/bjdeli/Picture014.jpghttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/bjdeli/Picture019.jpghttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/bjdeli/Picture027.jpghttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/bjdeli/Picture029.jpg
apd 0
depends on the spec of your charged vr.i have shamed loads of 'performance' cars.sti,carreras,boxters.nearly bought an eve8 myself.but the service shedule, parts prices put me off.wouldn't mind a bit of a play with an evo! matth76 1
A lightly modded VR with 205-210bhp should match the astra vxr. So with a charger you should easily beat it. No chance against the evo of the line (due to the mistu having 4wd) but once going you should be able to match the performance on the straights (depending on your state of tune - assuming you have over 300bhp)... you'll struggle keeping up round the bends though I suspect no matter what power you have (again due to the evo's 4wd set up)
Seademon 0
I dont reckon you'll stand much chance against an Evo 8 - their in a different leauge!
jaysVR6 2
If it's a 300 you may just stay with it in a straight line, I'd expect a good 50-60bhp to be lost through the transmission, plus the fact that it weighs 1400kg compared to our 1200kgs. Thats if you come across a standard one.If you come across a bend forget it!!!If you come across a bend and a good driver, don't even bother!!
aad 0
mines 260bhp 229lbs torque, but does go well, the vxr is quick been in that i was shocked how good they are standard i never felt no lag from the turbo but thats going in for the 300bhp conversion when it,s done 1000 miles i just wish i had more torque, there will be a good vid very soon either way so we will see.
