Norrisvr6 0
Today i was driving along in my 1996 vr6 and the airbag light is coming on for some reason. What does this mean? Is it just a problem with the airbag or can there be anything else wrong? Also apart from a Vag thing what other way can i get rid of the problem? Many thanks :-p
mk3anni 0
It means the airbag has a problem. You need to find someone with vag com who can plug in and tell you whats up and clear the code.
Norrisvr6 0
So no other side effects of it being on? Surely u can jst take bulb out of light then?
riggs 0
Or buy a fault code reader of Egay for £20+p+p You can then read and clear fault codes

mk3anni 0
if the lights on the airbags wont work. depends how much you want them I guess.I was under the impression the fault code readers where just readers, and are not able to clear the codes.
fredfelcher 0
Most of the readers can't clear the codes, you need to get to VAG-COM or similar. You can't just remove the bulb - it'll fail its next MOT if the light doesn't come on then go out.
mk3anni 0
Not true. The light doesn't have to come on at all. That rule only applies to the ABS system.

ian 182 0
Surely this must just be a faulty wire.My clio seat belt light came on on my 05 182 and it turned out to be me putting the seat to far back and unplugged the sensor under the seat.it must be something simpleian
