aad 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 What a buzz indeed have'nt been on the strip since i raced my mk1 years ago.Reved my car on saturday a bit to much though best time 14.967 secs 0-60 6.36secs not bad need to get better for santa pod :-p Good to meet some of you ,shame could'nt meet everyone but it was a good day anyway.Nice pics by the way Jake. Earwig 89 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 I may give it a go at the Pod to !Looks real good fun and seeing the buzz around Jake when he came back to the stand to take the whole front out of his car to get more "Air" into it makes me want to do it even more !Maybe we can get a little VR6-OC thing going on at the Pod where we can mess with each other. [/quote']I'm annoyed at myself for missing out on a run with you chap! next time tho, I promise! As far as my method..? Fire it up, get me Toyos nice an' sticky, sit at 2k restin on the handbrake, wait for the signal (Pod's 3 stage start is better than the red/green at inters!), and dump the Helix - it seems to be pretty indestructable! gentle power increase in 1st to aid the lack of traction (probably around 8-10psi of boost @ 30ish), change to 2nd, then another gentle pick up to stop the spinning allowing her up to full boost of 13psi (when the belt doesnt slip!) up to 55 ish, than a quick flick of the N2O button and shes ready for pedal down and a +75BHP breath of laughing gas, taking me over the line in anything from 13 - 17 seconds depending how hung over i am.. i should give her more beans, but i dont like pushing past 6k.. Usually 3rd over the line @ 100 - 107mph best 1/4 was 13.1 and 0-60 @ 5.13..P.s. did ne one see that RS6 get poo'd on? Heeeehhhaaaaawww! (6) *.* All quoted gear change speeds are approximate as its bloody hard trying to see everything that goes on in that cockpit whilst holding her in a straight line.. :-p Link to post Share on other sites
