alanled 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 I havent had the sharan long and noticed the engine temp gauge sits smack in the middle but on the computer it says engine oil temp 110 when on the motorway. Its steady at this but just seems a little hot to me. What Im really askin is is this normal or is there something i can adjust to bring the temp down. Ive checked the fan cuts in but again it just seems high to me as it comes on when the gauge reaches 3/4. Link to post Share on other sites

manwithtool 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 I've got a VR6 Sharan and it ran at exactly half the temp gauge. However after a recent water leak (thermostat housing !) I replaced the Thermostat and it now runs a fraction over this....Can;t say as I've ever checked the oil temp....I'll see if I can find this and report back...Temp always stays steady though...even going round the Safari Park on Saturday when it was B****y hot.
