ibizaboy 0 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Share Posted July 11, 2006 just got my ibizavr6 on the road!!all going ok apart from when traveling at a constant speed it sometimes losses power for a second or two and then carries on. ive been describing it as a burp lol. has anyone any ideas?? so far i can only think fuel pump or air mass meteralso when starting the car it turns over for nearly 10seconds before firring up. i still have the standard 1.4 ibiza fuel pump on will this be why??the only other problem is when at high revs the oil light comes on and the dash beeps. i have found that one of the wires has come out of the top of the connector on the oil filter. im going to reconnect that asap but im thinking that if its not sensing anything then it wont solve the problem.any help would be very greatfully recieved thanks liam.oh and just a quicky how many miles shud i expect from 40 litres of petrol. and which fuel is the best to use. (my cars not standard, its a 2.9 with gas flowed head and has a filter on) Link to post Share on other sites
apd 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Report Share Posted July 12, 2006 underfueling under load buddy!slap on vr pump[4bar rated].then everything will be hunkydorry.had a mk3 gti pump on mi old vr until a got a 2ndhand vr one for 40quid off a corrado vr-same symptoms. Link to post Share on other sites
