  2. Boo! But on the upside you'll have a well sorted motor! Looks the business up close and it'll be good to hear how you get on at a future show Difficult to answer at the moment as I haven't picked it up yet (and have tried not to think about it!), but I believe the price given was £5.5k with a Helix clutch. I've also opted for an LSD, Chains, and the head/gearbox given a once over as well as getting Vince to fit my big brakes (as I couldn't undo the bastard brake hose union!). I have maybe gone a bit overkill, but I wanted some peace of mind. It will definitely cost a fair bit more than the li

  3. Started to have a clean up of the Brembo's tonight, I used isopropyl alcohol but the black stuff was a bit reluctant to leave, so I had a go with some MEK, that shifted it, kept it away from the rubbers. I also removed the carriers and de rusted them with a wire brush on the drill, then applied some paint to make them look a bit better, at this stage I am not going to paint the callipers, just get them on and ready for February 21st track day, then when the bit of pad that is left is reduced I will replace the pads and get the callipers made to look pretty! ABS module

Hi, it was a couple of years ago but i believe it was about £160'ish (mine only lit the ABS light) easy way to check the rears is VAG com, check which side is error'ing clear the fault and lift the rear seat, both the sensors connect here swap the left for right (and vice versa) recheck vag com and if the same side still errors its the controller, if the fault changes sides then likely the sensor. Give BBA a call for pricing 01634 687222 their website says they keep some in stock (would need coding though). i would VAG com it first to get the correct part no. as well good luck steve
