  1. you may already know it, but if anyone has any more info on the car would be much appreciated.. in a little bit of a sorry state at the moment but its gonna be rebuilt and be a show stopper hopefully.. ive always wanted to go down the route of a raddo vr but never had the opportunity... then this little beauty popped up and i couldnt refuse it to be honest.. the potential is unreal and i will start a "rebuild thread" as soon as i pick it up (next weekend hopefully).. ive found a build thread on it on the edition 38 forum which is pretty cool but as i say if any of the previous owners are

  2. yup in the members sections... So, Join up ... Yes to the red tops.. it will overfuel like mad until remapped but needs to bed in for a short time if on new bearings (500 miles)... Ensure you get it rolling roaded for the remap..and don't forget the zorst and CAT as it will eat them as well... There is an spark plug mod that is best and also suitable air filters and have spare Lambda etc. Assumed you upgraded the brakes so you can stop.. and the oil cooler to keep that cool. Anyways have a read of the threads and keep us updated on your progress. R

  3. Never used a cleaning kit! Took mine apart, gave it a good tapping out warm soapy water and rinse, dry back on the car? Club Chairman

You buy a genuine vw headgasket then drill the rivets out of it chuck the middle part away (as they are 3 piece) and replace that with the spacer.

    Performance Fuel

Well, I'm a firm believer in these super fuels and have been for years. Many people will tell you they have not noticed a difference in performance or economy and that may be true if you're driving a 1.2 Clio. There's a fifth gear snippet on YouTube which shows differences between different fuels with rolling road results on an city car, a warm hatch and a Subaru. I only use v power in my vr and my family car, I can get 390 miles using super and only 360 on ordinary unleaded with the family car. The extra expense actually returns a saving for me, makes my car more responsive to drive and helps

  12. Got the VR home this weekend, drives really well, just a slight knocking from the rear,so I might play with removing the helper springs and change the top mounts, was very pleased as the standard front wheels rubbed when I first fitted the coilovers which doesn't happen now:) I spent most of Sunday cleaning the interior, you can imagine what it was like after all of the work the cars had done,so after hours of hoovering, scrubbing and plastic cleaning products it looked like this; Going to keep a look out for an oe recaro interior as I'm not a fan of leather. Really want the car to look like it

  14. I've had a fair but of head work done. It's not cheap at all if you get it done properly but it's worth it. 1mm bigger inlet valves New guides New valve stem seals New exhaust valves Titanium retainers Had valve springs New valve seats Crack and pressure tested Skimmed £600 give or take £50
