Well while I'm still without my car thanks to the bodyshop being beyond a joke I got bored and found a 24v vr engine with ecu and looms. There's no rush to get it in just going to source everything and get it all ready to drop in when the time is right. I couldn't make sense of the PDF file so I ported it and stitched it all together shame it's over 2 meters long now but on the plus side I don't need my reading glasses The loom is pretty much there now being made a hybrid to fit the ce2 fusebox just need to get it back to the engine for routing and then leave it for whenever it goes into t

My holset won't good brands to go for are garret, borg warner, holset, precision, kkk e.t.c their tried and tested for a reason.

It's up to you guys.. But the best one on the market to use is the VW stuff... The others are pretty good, but they take much longer to dry & are of a thinner composite to the VW sealant. If you go to TPS you'll get it for around £18, or just be a little cheeky & ask nicely at the dealer for some discount... They may give it to you for £19 trade [emoji16] Mk4motionVR6

I would spend more money on a turbo if you want it to be reliable. Turbo, wastegate, injectors and software are the main things you don't want to go cheap on.

I've just stripped/rebuilt my engine & after 150,000 miles, I've found absolutely nothing wrong with the OEM plastic crack pipe & housing.. I just bunged them in the dish washer & replaced all the seals, thermostat & temp sensor with new bits.. And hey presto!! Like new again Mk4motionVR6
